Meet David Alexander, Au.D., CCC-A
Dr. Alexander’s life and career are defined by a passion for service, beginning as an Active Duty U.S. Army Blackhawk helicopter pilot from 2002 to 2011, Reserve Duty from 2011-2014, and then Reserve Duty as an audiologist from 2017-2026. Dr. Alexander served in combat in Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom in 2006 as a Platoon Leader and Executive Officer. Driven to continue serving others in a different capacity, he earned his Doctorate in Audiology from The University of South Dakota in 2015.
Over his career, Dr. Alexander has brought exceptional expertise to diverse clinical settings, including a nationally ranked hospital and serving as a clinical assistant professor teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, as well as providing clinical supervision. Dr. Alexander is a prolific leader in his field, he has given many national presentations, published several articles, and held various committee and leadership roles within the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Dr. Alexander retired from his military service in 2026 at the rank of “Major.” Dr. Alexander brings a unique blend of military precision, academic excellence, standards, protocols, and compassionate care to help patients fully engage with the world around them.
